Calnio vs 2sync
Both sync Notion databases both ways, Calnio on its paid plan and its trial. The difference is where to. 2sync works with Google Calendar, Outlook, Todoist and a long list of other apps, and cannot reach Apple Calendar directly. Calnio writes into iCloud, so your dates are real events in Apple Calendar, and it syncs Google Calendar and Todoist.
Free for one database, one way. $3.99 a month for two-way and all of them, the first 7 days free with no card. Nothing to install.
The short answer
Pick 2sync if
Your calendar is Outlook, or you want Notion synced with Google Tasks, Microsoft To Do, Google Sheets, your contacts or your email, or you want to set the direction field by field. 2sync covers all of them. Calnio covers none of them.
Pick Calnio if
Your calendar is Apple Calendar on an iPhone, iPad or Mac. 2sync says on its own site that it cannot connect to Apple Calendar directly, and suggests syncing Apple Calendar through Google or Outlook first. Calnio writes straight into iCloud.
Either, for Google Calendar or Todoist
Both sync a Notion database with Google Calendar and with Todoist, both ways. The details are below.
Calnio and 2sync, side by side
Calnio first in each row, 2sync second. What 2sync does is taken from its own site, pricing page and docs, read on 24 October 2026.
Apple Calendar
Calnio writes real events into an iCloud calendar over CalDAV, one calendar per database.
2sync does not connect to Apple Calendar directly. Its site says Apple Calendar has no public API.
Google Calendar and Outlook
Calnio syncs Google Calendar, both ways on the paid plan and the trial, one way on the free plan. Not Outlook.
2sync syncs both, two-way.
Todoist
Calnio syncs the title, due date, done and priority, both ways on the paid plan and the trial, one way on the free plan.
2sync syncs Todoist two-way, with the fields you map yourself.
Other apps
Calnio has none.
2sync also syncs Google Tasks, Microsoft To Do, Google Sheets, Google and Outlook contacts, and brings Gmail and Outlook mail into Notion.
How often
Calnio checks every 30 minutes on the free plan, and every 15 on the paid plan, or as often as every 5 if you choose it.
2sync runs every 5 minutes on Solo, every 3 on Premium and every 2 on Pro.
Price
Calnio is free for one database, one way, and $3.99 a month for two-way and every database.
2sync is $9 a month for Solo with one automation, or $7 a month billed yearly. Premium, with three, is $24 or $14 yearly. Pro, with ten, is $69 or $49 yearly. It has no free plan.
Trial
Calnio gives every new account 7 days of the paid plan, with no card, so nothing is charged when it ends.
2sync gives 14 days on every plan. Its billing docs say a card is required at signup and charged when the trial ends.
How much it syncs
Calnio syncs every page in the database that has a date. A large first sync can take two runs to finish.
2sync Solo syncs up to 3,000 items, over a window of up to 6 months. Premium and Pro have no item limit and windows of 1 and 2 years.
Setup
Calnio: sign in with Google, connect Notion, add an iCloud app-specific password, tick databases. It picks the date column and makes the calendar, and both stay editable.
2sync: connect Notion and the app, pick the database and the calendar, map each field and its direction, then switch the automation on. More to decide, and more you can control.
Where 2sync is the better choice
More apps, one subscription
If you sync Notion with several tools, 2sync does it in one place. Calnio does two.
More fields
2sync maps Notion properties to the other app field by field. Calnio puts the title and the date into a calendar event and nothing else, and ticking a task done in Notion leaves its event where it is.
Faster checks
2sync runs as often as every 2 minutes on its top plan. Calnio runs every 5 at its fastest.
Who runs it
Calnio is made and run by one person, me, on my own server. If that matters to you, the trust page says what happens if I ever stop.

Questions
Does 2sync work with Apple Calendar?
Not directly. 2sync says on its own site that Apple Calendar has no public API, so it cannot connect to it, and suggests syncing Apple Calendar with Google Calendar or Outlook first.
Calnio writes into iCloud over CalDAV, the protocol Apple Calendar itself uses, so the events are in Apple Calendar with nothing in between.
Is Calnio cheaper than 2sync?
Calnio is free for one database one way, and $3.99 a month for two-way and every database. 2sync starts at $9 a month, or $7 a month billed yearly, for one automation, and has no free plan. Prices as read on 24 October 2026.
2sync covers many more apps for that price, so the cheaper one is only the better one if Apple Calendar or Todoist is what you need.
Do both sync Notion with Todoist?
Yes, both ways. Calnio syncs the title, due date, done and priority, both ways on the paid plan and the trial and one way on the free plan. On 2sync you map the fields and pick the direction of each one yourself.
