Calnio terms of use

Calnio is run by one person, me. These are the few rules for using it, and what I can and cannot promise.

Free for one database, one way. $3.99 a month for two-way and all of them, the first 7 days free with no card. Nothing to install.

The service

Last updated October 30, 2026.

What Calnio is

A hosted service that copies dates from the Notion databases you choose into Apple Calendar or Google Calendar, and, when you switch two-way sync on, copies calendar edits back into Notion. It can also keep a Notion database and a Todoist project in step, both ways.

Agreeing to these terms

By signing in you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use Calnio, and delete your account if you have one.

The price, and what it buys

Calnio is free for one database, synced one way from Notion, checked every 30 minutes. The paid plan is $3.99 a month and adds two-way sync and every database. A new account gets the paid plan free for 7 days from its first sync, with no card, so nothing is charged when it ends. When the trial or a subscription ends, your account goes to the free plan, nothing is deleted, and your oldest sync keeps running one way while two-way and the others pause. I run it myself, on a computer I host. I fix what breaks as fast as I can and aim to reply within a day, but I promise no uptime and no particular feature. What I do promise about pricing, support and shutting down is on the pricing and promises page.

What Calnio stores, and how to delete it, is in the privacy policy.

Your part

Your accounts

You connect only Notion workspaces, Apple Accounts, Google accounts and Todoist accounts you are allowed to use, and you keep your sign-in safe. What a sync does on your behalf happens in your accounts, under your control.

Fair use

Do not use Calnio to break the law, to break the terms of Notion, Apple, Google or Todoist, to get into accounts that are not yours, or to overload or attack the service.

Your data stays yours

Calnio claims no rights to your pages, events or tasks. It holds only what the privacy policy lists, and only to run your syncs.

What Calnio changes in your accounts

What a sync changes

Calnio creates, updates and deletes events in the calendars it syncs your databases into, in Apple Calendar or Google Calendar. With two-way sync on, it also changes titles and dates in Notion, creates pages for new events, and moves pages to the trash when their events are deleted.

A Todoist sync runs both ways on the paid plan and the trial, and one way from Notion on the free plan. Calnio creates, updates, completes, reopens and deletes tasks in the project it syncs, changes the title, date, done state and priority of pages, creates a page for a new task and a task for a new page, moves a page to the trash when its task is deleted, and deletes a task when its page is deleted.

Keep your own copies

Syncing can go wrong: a changed database, an outage on either side or a bug can move, rename or remove items. Notion keeps trashed pages for a while, iCloud.com can restore an earlier copy of your calendars and Google Calendar keeps deleted events in its bin for 30 days, but a deleted Todoist task cannot be brought back by Calnio. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot lose.

Limits

No warranty

Calnio is provided as it is and as available, without warranty of any kind, including that it is fit for a particular purpose or free of errors.

Limit of liability

As far as the law allows, I am not liable for lost data, missed events or any indirect damage that comes from using Calnio. My total liability is limited to what you paid for Calnio, which is nothing.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. I may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and I may shut Calnio down. If I do, I will tell you by email at least 60 days before anything stops, and your pages, events and tasks stay where they are.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. Using Calnio after a change means you accept the new terms.
